Artist

Brenda Driggers

Brenda Driggers has pursued art from the time she could hold a pencil.  Her training began with oil painting through private lessons at an early age.  She continued her art study in college and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art Education.  During her senior year, she delivered her first commissioned portrait.  As she traveled with her military husband, her focus shifted to raising a family and work in the corporate world.  During this time, she lived in many locations in the States including Alaska, South Korea, and Europe.   Art was always a part of everyday life.  Much of her inspiration today comes from her travels and her family.

In 2015, retired from the corporate world and once again able to concentrate her focus towards her art, Brenda had the opportunity to enroll in a Watercolor class – an entirely new medium for her.  She found it to be an exciting challenge, one she felt compelled to pursue further.  Brenda began to immerse herself in meeting the challenges through daily painting, workshops, exhibits and commissions.

Her work has been recognized in International Exhibitions with the Society of Watercolor Artists in Fort Worth, TX., the Southwestern Watercolor Society in Dallas, TX., and the American Watercolor Society in New York, NY.

Brenda and her husband, Ron, live in Cleburne, Texas.
